Way to go!

Yesterday the folks from Second Harvest came out and harvested citrus from seven homes on our street. By the end the day there were approximately 2500 pounds of citrus harvested by 10th grade volunteers. The Second Harvest truck pulled up at about 4 o’clock and loaded everything up to deliver fresh fruit to their facilities & kitchens to help those less fortunate than us.

Way to go everybody!

Art Deco Hideaway

Yesterday Cherry tried to lure me to take a nap at 1 o’clock, unfortunately, I was busy in my study. After a few minutes I noticed she had quieted down and as I walked out into the sunroom so that she had climbed into the Deco hutch and pretty well closes the door behind her to take a nap … she awoke when I bent down to take her picture.

All cranked up

Rebuilding our Cousin It tandem, it seemed a shame to just rebuild the beautifully painted frame with scratched and dulled parts, so I picked up some supplies and began with polishing the cranks.

The one on the upper right is a crank / pedal in as-is, 20,000+ miles condition. The one on the lower left is freshly polished and ready for reassembly and installation.

It’s gonna be great 🙂
